Pupil Leaders

Our children help lead many areas of school and community life. At Yoxall we have pupil leadership groups which represent our school at a Trust level and at school level. At Trust level, this group of children meet with other children from all of our schools across the MAT including from senior schools where they mostly focus on charitable causes. At school level we have representatives from each year group in the following areas:

  • School council
  • Sports ambassadors
  • Librarians
  • Church council
  • Prefects
  • IT ambassadors

Our children know what it means to be responsible and take pride in their roles.

St Peter's

An important part of our school is our ‘School Council. School Council helps us to learn about democracy and British Values, as we all vote for our class reps. We also vote for our Head Girl and Head Boy after the candidates have given a speech in worship.

All the children vote and put it in a ballot box in the hall. We represent the school, talk about learning and about things we would like to improve. We also meet visitors and help show people around our lovely school.

Our Church Council is an essential part of our School.  Church Council helps to run worship by reading out scriptures and prayers and planning their own worships to deliver to the whole school.

The Wellbeing Ambassadors discuss and take action on many things to do with the wellbeing of pupils and adults in our school.

The Playground Leaders have received training to organise activities in zones on the playground and field during lunch times. They ensure that all children are having a lovely playtime and that everyone has someone to play with.

They also keep a look-out for children who demonstrate our Fruit of The Spirit values and reward them with stickers.

Our sports ambassadors help to monitor and maintain our PE and playground equipment. They support with the organisation of both internal and external sporting events. They also help to deliver our half termly sporting celebration assemblies.
